Sitka National Historical Park is a historic site in southeastern Alaska, U.S., that preserves remnants of Native American and Russian occupation of the area. The park is in the city of Sitka on Baranof Island in the Gulf of Alaska. The site was named a federal park by Pres. Benjamin Harrison in 1890. It was established as a national monument in 1910 and became a national historical park in 1972. It occupies 112 acres (45 hectares).
